Facility Rules: Entry Guide

Enhanced NASCAR security measures may lead to increased entry times. In an effort to ensure the safety of all guests entering Talladega Superspeedway, every patron will enter through one of our open Entrance Plazas and be security wand scanned (body scanned), and all carry-in items will be searched. See below for staggered entry times and information.

This information is tentative and subject to change.

Entrance Tips

If you are securing your ticket/admission within a protective holder on a lanyard, please ensure the barcode is completely visible in a clear area.

When approaching the metal detectors, please remove any large metal objects (cell phones, keys, cameras, etc.). You do not need to remove your hat, jacket, belt, wallet, watch, or other objects of similar size, unless instructed to do so. If carrying coins, please remove them prior to entry to avoid detection of these items. Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives) are strictly prohibited in grandstand/tower seating as well as the Talladega Garage Experience.

Wait for Gate Staff to instruct you to walk to the body screener, one person at a time. If the device detects something, you may be asked to re-check your pockets and will be scanned again. Once you are screened, please proceed to the bag check station and again to the gate for your ticket to be scanned.

You and your belongings will be searched upon entry into Talladega Superspeedway. We suggest you review our Allowed/Prohibited Items list before arriving on property, and approaching the gates. By tendering your ticket and entering the grandstand/facility, you consent to such searches and waive any related claims that you might have against Talladega Superspeedway, its members and/or subsidiaries, officers, employees, agents, sponsors, trustees, receivers, successors and assigns, parent companies, related or affiliated companies and all of their shareholders and directors, and sanctioning bodies. If you elect to not consent to the searches, you will be denied entry to the grandstand/facility. Every guest must pass through a security checkpoint. Re-entries are permitted with valid ticket, but all guests will be re-screened. All gates at Talladega Superspeedway are ADA accessible.

Smoking Policy

All seating areas at Talladega Superspeedway are SMOKE FREE. This includes cigarettes, pipes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and vapes (with or without nicotine). Designated smoking sections are located throughout the concourses. See below for locations.

Designated smoking areas will also be available in the new Talladega Garage Experience.

  • Items intended for sale or trade may not be brought onto speedway property, including the parking lots, without a written agreement with the speedway.
  • The unauthorized resale of tickets in, on or around speedway property is not permitted under any circumstances. Camping Guidelines

Have questions about these protocols or your set-up? Give us a call at 877.Go2.DEGA! Protocols listed below are subject to change, and additional camping policy updates may be communicated at a later date.

SELF-CONTAINED RVS ONLY ALLOWED

To reduce the potential for crowds in social or common areas, all camping spots are for self-contained RVs (motorhomes, 5th wheel travel trailers, and bumper-pull travel trailers) only. This requires each RV to have proper cooking facilities with an on-board power source, toilet facilities with on-board holding tank, potable water supply system including faucet, sink and holding tanks, and heating and/or air conditioning separate from the vehicle’s engine.

All campground shower facilities will be closed.

TENT CAMPING

Because campground shower facilities will be closed, we are not able to accommodate tent camping for this event.

MAINTAIN DISTANCE FROM OTHER GROUPS

In order to welcome campers and fans back at the track, we must do so in a safe manner. Please respect the following protocols.

  • Camping guests are instructed to stay in your designated reserved space and maintain distance from other groups.
  • If in your individual spot and maintaining distance from other camping guests, campers will not be required to wear a mask, face shield, or other face covering.*
  • Face coverings must be worn anytime you are not in your campsite.
  • Signage will be visible throughout the campground regarding spacing and other protocols.
  • If camping in an area where there is an empty spot adjacent to your assigned spot, guests may not use the empty space for parking, gathering or any other activities.
  • Entertainment that promotes social gatherings is not allowed; stages, bars, compounds, circling the wagons, DJs, live bands, loud sound systems, etc. will be strictly prohibited.
  • Grilling is allowed at your designated site with your individual group.
  • All campground shower facilities will be closed. Camping spots are for self-contained RVs only.
  • Enjoy the races but be responsible and maintain distance from other parties.

*For guests who may need an accommodation in order to comply with any facility rules and/or protocols, please contact our Guest Services team when you arrive on property for further information.

MASKS/FACE COVERINGS

While at your campsite, feel free to relax and enjoy the races as usual. When leaving your campsite, fans must wear a face covering at all times.*

*For guests who may need an accommodation in order to comply with any facility rules and/or protocols, please contact our Guest Services team when you arrive on property for further information.

DURATION OF STAY

Duration of stay for both infield and outside camping will be 5 nights, with entry beginning on Wednesday, April 21. Campers are welcome to stay through NOON CT on Monday, April 26.

PROHIBITED ITEMS IN CAMPGROUNDS

If camping in an area where there is an empty spot adjacent to your assigned spot, guests may not use the empty space for parking, gathering or any other activities.

Entertainment that promotes social gatherings is not allowed for this event. Stages, bars, compounds, circling the wagons, DJs, live bands, loud sound systems, etc. will be strictly prohibited.

Guests will be asked to take down setups at infield camping spots that could interfere in any way with on-track competition protocols.

Displays of the confederate flag are strictly prohibited.

QUIET TIME ENFORCED IN SOME AREAS

To help reduce the temptation to gather and celebrate, Quiet Time will be enforced in the following camping areas from Midnight to 6:00 AM throughout the weekend: Superstretch RV, Finish Line Premium RV, Gecko Frontrunner’s Club II, Allison Motorhome Ridge, Farmer Motorhome Overlook, Bonnett Corporate Motorhome Summit, and GEICO South Park Reserved A-D.

Quiet Time will not be enforced in Talladega Blvd, Eastaboga Blvd, or GEICO Grounds Red.

Our hope through these additional safety precautions is that we will all be back racing as normal sooner than later. For now, we must take extra measures to ensure the safety of all fans.

ENTERTAINMENT ACTIVITIES POSTPONED

At this time, to limit social gatherings, Talladega will not open social areas or provide entertainment such as the Big One on the Blvd and Saturday Night Infield Concert. We look forward to hosting similar activities at future races.

For now, campers should remain at their assigned campsites and maintain distance from other groups.

Pricing for the weekend has been reduced slightly due to limited event experience opportunities.

RV PARKING INSTRUCTIONS

All RVs are required to back into designated spots. Guest services and security personnel will be onsite to assist with parking.

  • In order to keep a safe and healthy environment, all recreational vehicles must park in the same direction.
  • RVs are to be parked on the right side of each campsite (RVs and motorhomes must back into reserved space).
  • The entry to your recreational vehicle must face the left of your campsite. This will avoid sharing of open space between all camping guests in the campgrounds.
  • If camping in an area where there is an empty spot adjacent to your assigned spot, guests may not use the empty space for parking, gathering or any other activities.

Unfortunately, guests camping outside of the track will not have access to these viewing areas.

*For guests who may need an accommodation in order to comply with any facility rules and/or protocols, please contact our Guest Services team when you arrive on property for further information.
