2021 GEICO 500 Weekend Update
Thank you for your continued support of Talladega Superspeedway! We remain grateful to have the best fans in sports.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we want to provide you with some important Spring 2021 event updates for the GEICO 500 on April 25 and the NASCAR Xfinity Series/ARCA Menards Series doubleheader on April 24. We recognize that many factors, including your ability to travel, may have recently been impacted. We want you to understand your options as you make decisions related to attending the 2021 GEICO 500 weekend. Please carefully READ YOUR OPTIONS BELOW BASED ON YOUR SPECIFIC WEEKEND EXPERIENCE and review the seating and camping protocols that will be in place.
We continue to work with our local, state, and health officials regarding fan attendance. More specific event details, including seat assignments and health and safety measures will be available closer to the event. All tickets, admissions, and camping passes will be delivered via Tickets @ Home.
We truly appreciate your loyalty and support. Should you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 877.Go2.DEGA (877.462.3342) for assistance.
For information about cancelled experiences and closed areas, please visit www.talladegasuperspeedway.com/assistance.
In order to safely host fans, a key part of our plan includes reducing venue capacity to allow for socially distanced seating. As a result, your tickets may be relocated, but we will work diligently to find seat locations as close to your original purchase as possible and to accommodate as many fans as possible who have already purchased.
Additionally, any general admission tickets will be converted to reserved tickets to ensure proper social distancing. Once you receive your reserved location via email, you will have the option to relocate. Additional details on how to relocate will be communicated once the reseating process is complete.
Opt-out request deadline was February 23rd. Questions? Please call us at 877.Go2.DEGA.
*Please note that the credit on your account will automatically be applied to any currently scheduled Payment Plans for Talladega Superspeedway, including any remaining tickets or camping in unaffected areas for the April weekend or any current order for the Fall 2021 Talladega weekend.
In order to safely host fans, the following protocols will be implemented for infield and outside camping, as well as frontstretch seating:
- All RVs must be self-contained as shower facilities will be closed. Due to this, tent camping is not permitted.
- Parties will be limited to six people per campsite.
- Duration of stay for both infield and outside camping will be 5 nights, with entry beginning on Wednesday, April 21. Campers are welcome to stay through Monday morning, April 26.
- Pricing for some camping orders will be reduced due to changes resulting from updated safety protocols. Credit will be added to your account if this impacts your order.
- Capacity in frontstretch seating will be limited to allow for socially distanced seating. As a result, seats may be relocated for guests with inventory on their account, but we will work diligently to find you a seat location as close to your original purchase as possible and to accommodate as many fans as possible who have already purchased.
See more information about camping guidelines here. Additional camping updates may be communicated at a later date.

SELF-CONTAINED RVS ONLY ALLOWED
To reduce the potential for crowds in social or common areas, all camping spots are for self-contained RVs (motorhomes, 5th wheel travel trailers, and bumper-pull travel trailers) only. This requires each RV to have proper cooking facilities with an on-board power source, toilet facilities with on-board holding tank, potable water supply system including faucet, sink and holding tanks, and heating and/or air conditioning separate from the vehicle’s engine.
All campground shower facilities will be closed.
NO TENT CAMPING
Because campground shower facilities will be closed, we are not able to accommodate tent camping for this event.
PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING
Please keep in mind, these are extraordinary times, and while we want to continue to bring fans out to the races, we must do so in a safe manner. Hopefully soon we will be back with social gatherings, but in the meantime, please respect those around you and remain at your campsite.
- Camping guests will be instructed to stay in their designated reserved space and at least six feet away from other campers.
- While in the spot and remaining socially distant (6’) from other camping guests they will not be required to wear a mask, face shield or other face covering.
- Face coverings must be worn anytime a camping guest is not in their campsite.
- Signage will be visible throughout the campground regarding social distancing and other protocols camping guests must abide by.
- If camping in an area where there is an empty spot adjacent to your assigned spot, guests should not use the empty space for parking, gathering or any other activities.
- Entertainment that promotes social gatherings is not allowed; stages, bars, compounds, circling the wagons, DJs, live bands, loud sound systems, etc. will be strictly prohibited.
- Grilling is allowed at your designated site with your individual group.
- All campground shower facilities will be closed. Camping spots are for self-contained RVs only.
- Enjoy the races but be responsible and respect the enhanced social distancing rules.
DURATION OF STAY
Duration of stay for both infield and outside camping will be 5 nights, with entry beginning on Wednesday, April 21. Campers are welcome to stay through Monday morning, April 26.
MASKS/FACE COVERINGS
While at your campsite, feel free to relax and enjoy the races as usual. When leaving your campsite, fans must wear a face covering at all times.
QUIET TIME ENFORCED IN SOME AREAS
To help reduce the temptation to gather and celebrate, Quiet Time will be enforced in the following camping areas from Midnight to 6:00 AM throughout the weekend: Superstretch RV, Finish Line Premium RV, Gecko Frontrunner’s Club II, Allison Motorhome Ridge, Farmer Motorhome Overlook, Bonnett Corporate Motorhome Summit, and GEICO South Park Reserved A-D.
Quiet Time will not be enforced in Talladega Blvd, Eastaboga Blvd, or GEICO Grounds Red.
Our hope through these additional safety precautions is that we will all be back racing as normal sooner than later. For now, we must take extra measures to ensure the safety of all fans.
ENTERTAINMENT ACTIVITIES POSTPONED
At this time, to limit social gatherings, Talladega will not open social areas or provide entertainment such as the Big One on the Blvd and Saturday Night Infield Concert. We look forward to hosting similar activities at future races.
For now, campers should remain at their assigned campsites and adhere to social distance requirements and track policies.
RV PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
All RVs are required to back into designated spots. Guest services and security personnel will be onsite to assist with parking.
- In order to keep a safe and healthy environment, all recreational vehicles must park in the same direction.
- RVs are to be parked on the right side of each campsite (RVs and motorhomes must back into reserved space).
- The entry to your recreational vehicle must face the left of your campsite. This will avoid sharing of open space between all camping guests in the campgrounds.
- If camping in an area where there is an empty spot adjacent to your assigned spot, guests may not use the empty space for parking, gathering or any other activities.

No. As a 2021 ticket holder, you have the first right to keep your same seat or campsite or next year’s event. Your renewal rights will be applied to the original seat or campsite you purchased prior to the social distance reseating process.
If you deferred your 2021 order to 2022, then your renewal order is locked in and completed; no further action is needed.
To reduce the potential for crowds in social/common areas, all campground shower facilities will be closed. As a result, we will not be able to accommodate tent campers or open our free campgrounds. Additionally, ALL CAMPERS ON TALLADEGA PROPERTY MUST HAVE SELF-CONTAINED RVS with toilet facilities on board, as well as other amenities.
Some infield grounds may also be located within NASCAR's secure competition area, which will need to be kept clear to follow protocols designed to keep drivers, teams, industry members, and fans safe.
You will receive a 120% credit for your camping spot and any other contents of your order affected by closings.
Our seating capacity has also been reduced to allow for social distancing, and fans will receive new seat assignments for the GEICO 500 on Sunday, April 25. Your new seat assignments will likely be different, but we will make every attempt to place you in comparable seating as close as possible to your existing seats.
If you would like to opt out of attending this April and move your entire camping + tickets order to Spring 2022, please COMPLETE THIS FORM by FEBRUARY 23, 2021.
If you have more questions or need assistance, please call us at 877.Go2.DEGA (877.462.3342).
As we continue to work with our local and state public health officials, there may be changes to event offerings and the protocols for the event. If any changes occur, we will update all ticket holders via email, social media, and our website.
In accordance with safety protocols and procedures, LIMITED TAILGATING will be allowed on Sunday, April 25 prior to the GEICO 500. Fans will need to work directly with airlines, hotels, etc. for any such possible arrangements.
Any event credits or refunds will only be made to the ticketholder on file with the speedway. If tickets were purchased through a third party, please contact them directly for information on their refund policy.
