2010s Spring Winners

In the 2011 GEICO 500, Jimmie Johnson (#48) came from fifth coming out of Turn 4 to edge Clint Bowyer (#33) by just .002 second, a NASCAR premier series record, to claim his second Talladega Superspeedway triumph. 2000s Spring Winners

During the 2000s at Talladega, these two drivers – Jeff Gordon (24) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (8) - won six of the first eight spring Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races held at the 2.66-mile layout. In 2004, Gordon was in the right place at the right time when late in the race Earnhardt pulled along his side to make the pass, but the caution came out, ending the event.
