Six-time Talladega Superspeedway winner and NASCAR on FOX Analyst Jeff Gordon (left), along with NASCAR Vice Chairman Mike Helton (center) and Motor Racing Network’s Jeff Striegle, showcase the beginning structure of what will become Talladega Superspeedway’s new Race Operations that will debut this October as part of the track’s Transformation Infield Project presented by Graybar. The building will consist of Race Control (NASCAR), Network Television, Motor Racing Network Radio, and Public Address (PA) System.
During the 2000s at Talladega, these two drivers – Jeff Gordon (24) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (8) - won six of the first eight spring Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races held at the 2.66-mile layout. In 2004, Gordon was in the right place at the right time when late in the race Earnhardt pulled along his side to make the pass, but the caution came out, ending the event. The tradition continues with the GEICO 500 on Sunday, April 28 as NASCAR’s biggest track celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Jeff Gordon invites to to attend the Aaron's Dream Weekend, April 23-25. Two-day tickets start at just $49!
