Media credential requests are now being accepted for the Oct. 29 - Nov. 1 AMP Energy 500 Weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.

Requests must be submitted on company letterhead by the Sports Director or Sports Editor and include the names and duties of those working the event. Fax and email requests are not accepted. Deadline for requests is 4 weeks prior to the Nov. 1 event. Requests should be submitted to: Kristi R. King, Senior Director of Communications and Consumer Marketing, Talladega Superspeedway, 3366 Speedway Blvd., Talladega, AL 35160. A confirmation will be sent once the request has been processed.

Credentials will be issued only to working media, not spouses, relatives or guests.

Talladega Superspeedway Vice President and General Manager Rick Humphrey (second from left) is joined by Alabama Emergency Management Agency Region 7 Coordinator Ricky Little, National Weather Service (NWS) Birmingham Forecast Office Meteorologist-in-Charge James P. Stefkovich and National Weather Service Southern Region Acting Director Steven Cooper following the track's recognition as a StormReady Supporter by the National Weather Service. NWS officials honored the track with the designation after first recognizing Talladega County as a StormReady County.
