Advance-Priced Tickets On-Sale for Action-Packed Weekend, May 5-7

The advanced pricing is good for the GEICO 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race on Sunday, May 7, as well as the Sparks Energy 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) event on Saturday, May 6. Six-time Talladega Superspeedway winner Dale Earnhardt Jr. is scheduled to make his return to NASCAR’s Most Competitive Track after missing last fall’s race weekend for medical reasons. Talladega Superspeedway and its parent company, International Speedway Corporation (ISC), revealed today that the construction of the new Turn 3 Oversized Tunnel, an important component of the track’s new Transformation Infield Project – will begin in a matter of days during the week of Oct. 21. Sunday’s announcement took place during a press conference prior to the start of the 1000Bulbs.com 500, a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoff race.

Brad Keselowski Tries His Hand at "Camel Power" at the Birmingham Zoo

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Brad Keselowski, a three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) winner at Talladega Superspeedway, isn’t used to a string of bad finishes at NASCAR’s Most Competitive track, which is what he has experienced in the last three spring races at the 2.66-mile venue. Tuesday, he said he was ready to get over the “hump” and put those dismal results behind him with a win in the May 1 GEICO 500. He proved it by trading in horsepower of a stock car for “Camel Power,” riding a long-neck, humped-back camel at the Birmingham Zoo.
