Opening in October 2019, the Talladega Garage Experience is a transformation of the iconic Talladega infield for immersive, interactive, behind-the-scenes fun during NASCAR event weekends.

 

NASCAR & International Motorsports Hall of Famer Richard Childress, who made his debut in NASCAR’s premier series at Talladega Superspeedway as a driver in the track’s first race in 1969, will lead the field to green in the Oct. 13 1000Bulbs.com 500 behind the wheel of the famous black Richard Childress Racing No. 3 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The famous car carried his friend and driver - the late, great Dale Earnhardt - to his incredible, famed win in 2000 at ’Dega where he came from 18th to first in only four laps to lead at the white flag, and eventually the checkered.

Hall of Fame driver Rusty Wallace sports the new red, white and blue wreath that will now be a part of future Gatorade Victory Lane ceremonies at Talladega Superspeedway in the Talladega Garage Experience. The horseshoe-shaped flower/ribbon combination was part of the victor’s spoils in for the track’s first NASCAR weekend in 1969, and again in 1970.
