Fan Appreciation Day
Talladega Superspeedway welcomes the community for a fun-filled day at NASCAR's Most Competitive Track to celebrate the 40th Anniversary.
Race Fans Welcome to Celebrate with Talladega Superspeedway
Talladega Superspeedway welcomes race fans to the track on Sept. 20 for Fan Appreciation Day. There is no better way to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Talladega Superspeedway than an event with the fans! This event is open to the public and free of charge. All activities will be taking place in the infield starting at 10AM.
Fans who have purchased tickets to either the 2009 Aaron's 499 or AMP Energy 500 will have the opportunity to drive their car around the track. Bring the track ride voucher you have received in the mail with you for this event. Track rides will be given from 10AM – 2PM.
If you don’t have tickets for the AMP Energy 500, you can purchase them online HERE. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 877-Go2-DEGA. Tickets will also be on sale this day.
Another highlight to the day will be Q&A sessions all day.
11AM – Talladega Superspeedway President Rick Humphrey
11:30AM - Richard Brickhouse - Sept. 14, 1969 inaugural Talladega 500 Winner
12PM - Dave Marcis - Aug. 8, 1976 Talladega 500 Winner and record holder for the most competitive miles
12:30PM - Sterling Marlin - 2-time winner at Talladega in July 1995 and April 1996
1PM – Autograph session featuring the above motorsports personalities.
The day will finish off with a live performance by country music star Darryl Worley. His 2-hour concert will be in the infield following numerous activities for fans throughout the day. He will most likely be performing some of his hit #1 songs including 'Have You Forgotten' , 'I Miss My Friend', 'Awful, Beautiful Life' and his new single 'Sounds like Life to Me' from his new album 'Sounds Like Life'. The concert will start at approximately 3PM. Listen

Fans also will receive $2 off admission the International Motorsports Hall of Fame & Museum on Sunday as well. The merchandise shop inside the Hall of Fame will give 10% off all purchases this day.
