Nashville Rising Star Chelsea Bain to Open for Pat Green at Saturday Night Infield Concert During Talladega Superspeedway Weekend
TALLADEGA, AL -- Talladega Superspeedway’s Saturday Night Infield Concert just received a second dose of country star power: In addition to Grammy-nominated Texas country artist Pat Green, country-rock up-and-comer Chelsea Bain will perform an opening slot during the Camping World RV Sales 500 weekend, October 18-20.
The popular concert is a traditional event for ‘Dega Nation that’s held just off the infamous Talladega Blvd. the night (Oct. 19) before NASCAR’s Wild Card race in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chase for the Championship – the Camping World RV Sales 500. Access to the Saturday Night Infield Concert is easy: It’s open to all Camping World RV Sales 500 ticket holders!
Bain is following her own path to country stardom that started only a few years ago. Her eclectic taste, distinct style and fiery personality make it impossible to label her as any one genre, but her upbringing on a Valley of the Sun (Phoenix, AZ) ranch, dirt biking and riding horses has given her a love for Country.
Already being touted by industry veterans as an eclectic and distinctive performer, and by CMT as “A New Artist to Watch,” Bain has a strong passion and determination that has taken her explosive performances to the stages of two dozen NASCAR events and over 150 radio station performances. Chelsea's new single "James Dean" is at #68 with a bullet, has already been licensed into NASCAR broadcasts, and is debuting on Sprint Vision at Talladega Superspeedway next weekend!
“Chelsea Bain is strong country performer that is already receiving well-earned attention in the music industry, despite only being around for a short while,” said Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch. “Having her open up for a veteran artist like Pat Green will make for an incredibly lively set of music for our fans in the infield on Saturday night. People come to Talladega to have a good time and we are confident that the lineup for this fall’s Saturday Night Infield Concert will keep the party rocking during the Camping World RV Sales 500 weekend.”
Green, who’s been following his own path in the country music industry for over 15 years, is a perfect fit to perform in front of Talladega’s crowd with his blend of mainstream country-rock appeal and honest, gritty Texas songwriting. Through the years Green has made his name with hits like “Wave On Wave” and “Let Me”.
The stage for the show is set up at the intersection of Talladega and Eastaboga Boulevards, where dedicated partygoers have set up some of the most flamboyant and outrageous campsites for their and everyone’s entertainment. To enter the infield for the concert fans must present their ticket to the Sunday, Oct. 20 Camping World RV Sales 500.
The most competitive racing in NASCAR combined with a mix of southern hospitality returns to Talladega Superspeedway October 18-20, 2013 for the Camping World RV Sales 500 Weekend.
