Talladega Superspeedway Revamps Concessions to Save Fans Money

First, Talladega Superspeedway offered fans the “Best Deal in 40 Years” by reducing more than 20,000 tickets to only $40.  Now the track has partnered with Americrown Service Corporation to further reduce the cost of attending a race for fans, by dramatically reducing concession prices.

“We realize the impact the economy has had on our fans,” said Talladega Superspeedway President Rick Humphrey.  “When our guests told us that food prices were weighing on their decision to attend a race, we knew we had to act.  Through close cooperation with our concessionaire, we are now offering value pricing on several combo meals. We truly believe this will help our fans with their decision.”

Beginning in April, combo meals featuring a hamburger, fries and a drink will be packaged at nearly a 25% savings over the cost of the meal if each item were purchased separately.  Another combo package featuring a hotdog instead of a hamburger, again offers a 25% savings.

“We are working closely with our tracks to tailor menus and concession prices to better serve their guests,” said Americrown President Michael Gentry.  “The economic conditions have forced everyone to take a step back and re-evaluate the way we are doing business.  In the end, the fans will be better served and our business will be more efficient because of the changes we make today.”

In addition to $40 tickets and reduced pricing at concession stands, Talladega Superspeedway continues to offer free day parking on track property and free overnight parks.

In 2009, Talladega Superspeedway proudly celebrates forty years of the most competitive racing in NASCAR.  While the track has seen changes made to the cars that circle its high-banks, the surface that they race on and the grandstands that thousands of fans fill twice a year, one constant remains; Talladega Superspeedway is authentic NASCAR racing at its finest.

Race fans should make plans now to experience part of Talladega’s history in 2009 during the triple-header, Aaron’s Dream Weekend, April 24-26, featuring the ARCA RE/MAX Series, the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.  For tickets, visit www.talladegasuperspeedway.com or call 1-877-Go2-DEGA.
