Autograph Session Prior To Mountain Dew 250

When the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series kicked off its inaugural race at Talladega Superspeedway last year, over 90,000 fans attended and showed their support for this thrilling series. This year, several drivers are returning the favor by participating in an autograph session for the fans prior to the Mountain Dew 250 on Saturday, Oct. 6. The autograph session is scheduled to last from 9:45 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. at the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Mobile Display Unit, located in the display area behind the main grandstands. Drivers currently scheduled to attend are: Brendan Gaughan, Jason White, Bryan Silas, Chad Chaffin, Josh Wise, Travis Kvapil, TJ Bell, Erik Darnell, Dennis Setzer, Terry Cook, Tim Sauter and 2006 Champion Todd Bodine. "This is great opportunity for fans to come and interact with some of the stars of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and future stars of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series," said Talladega Superspeedway President Rick Humphrey. "The trucks thrilled us all with a spectacular race last year and we know that they will put on another great show this year. I encourage everyone to stop by the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Mobile Display Unit and meet the drivers that so fearlessly circle Talladega Superspeedway at nearly 200 m.p.h." This year's Mountain Dew 250 features the series closest points battle with six races remaining. Only three points separate series leader Mike Skinner from Ron Hornaday Jr. in the battle for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship. This race will no doubt play a major role in deciding the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship. Be here for all the action when the 2007 UAW-Ford 500 weekend at Talladega Superspeedway kicks off with the ARCA RE/MAX Series 250 on Friday, followed by the Mountain Dew 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Saturday. The NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Car of Tomorrow will make its first appearance in a superspeedway race on Sunday, Oct. 7, which is also the fourth race in the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. Kids age 11 and younger are admitted free of charge on Friday and Saturday of race weekends in the general admission grandstands at Talladega Superspeedway.
