Talladega Announces 2007 Race Weekend Dates

NASCAR officially released its 2007 schedule today, and Talladega Superspeedway officials are pleased to announce that the two annual major event weekends here at the circuit's most competitive track are slated for the same weekends as in 2006. The 2007 Aarons Dream Weekend featuring the NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races, will be April 27 - 29, 2007. Fans will witness two NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series practices and The Birmingham News Qualifying for the NASCAR Busch Series on Friday, April 27. The Birmingham News Qualifying for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series is set for Saturday, April 28, followed by the Aaron's 312 NASCAR Busch Series race. Then on Sunday, April 29, thousands will be on hand to watch as NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series teams compete in the Aaron's 499. The 2007 UAW-Ford 500 event weekend featuring the ARCA RE/MAX Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series will be Oct. 5 - 7, 2007. Guests will experience an action-packed day on Friday, Oct. 5, including two NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series practices, Qualifying for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series race. Then on Saturday, Oct. 6, fans will watch as NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series teams set the field during qualifying for Sunday's race, in addition to the return of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the Talladega 250. The 2007 UAW-Ford 500, race four in the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, is set for Sunday, Oct. 7.
