Reserve Spot Now While You Can!
Talladega Superspeedway officials announced nearly two months ago there were only a select few reserved spaces still available for the Oct. 6 - 8 UAW-Ford 500 event weekend - and now the only reserved spots that remain are a handful of spots for tents and automobiles only in the areas designated as the Blue Zone and Yellow Zone in the track's infield. The Blue Zone is located within the curve of turn two, and the Yellow Zone is located on the north end of the infield, between Talladega Boulevard and the reserved motorhome/pull-behind area designated as the Green Zone. Blue and Yellow Zone reserved spaces start at $245 for 2-day admissions and $285 for 3-day admissions. These prices include two infield admission tickets. A map showing these particular areas of the infield is available by visiting www.talladegasuperspeedway.com and clicking Maps, then Pricing Maps to view the Reserved Infield map. The popularity of overnight parking at Talladega Superspeedway has only grown along with the highly anticipated UAW-Ford 500 event weekend, which will feature 1,000 miles of racing in three days on brand new asphalt, including the Food World 250 ARCA RE/MAX Series race on Friday, the track's debut of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series racing with the Talladega 250 on Saturday, and then race four in the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup ¿ the UAW-Ford 500 ¿ on Sunday. "We are very pleased with the pace of our reservations of this fall¿s overnight parking spaces, and believe it is an indication of the interest in all the exciting new things we have coming together with this event weekend," said Talladega Superspeedway Vice President and General Manager Rick Humphrey. "Keep in mind that while we do offer three free parks, those areas are first-come, first-serve. We urge those that prefer to plan ahead to go online or call our ticket office to reserve these last Blue and Yellow Zone spots now before they are all gone." Talladega Superspeedway will welcome fans back for the UAW-Ford 500 event weekend set for Oct. 6-8, 2006, featuring 1,000 miles of racing in 3 days. The weekend begins with the Food World 250 ARCA RE/MAX Series race on Friday, Oct. 6, followed by the track¿s inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Saturday, Oct. 7. Then on Sunday, Oct. 8, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series teams will compete in the UAW-Ford 500, race four in the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. Kids age 11 and younger are admitted free of charge on Friday and Saturday of race weekends in the general admission grandstands at Talladega Superspeedway.
