Paving crews continue applying the 2-inch asphalt base to the turns of Talladega Superspeedway, in addition to paving pit road. The pit road paving will widen the asphalt portion of pit road by 10 feet, while the new concrete pit stalls will give drivers and teams an additional 2 feet in width per stall. The finished project will result in asphalt repaving of the entire track, skid pad and pit road, and will be completed by the track's fall UAW-Ford 500 event weekend, set for Oct. 6 - 8.
